The purpose of the study was to assess the implementation of risk management strategies for joint business construction projects in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania; Examining activities involved in implementing risk management strategies for joint venture construction projects; Explore the challenges of implementing risk management strategies in joint ventures, particularly construction projects; and proposals for collective action that can be used to successfully implement risk management strategies in joint venture construction projects in Tanzania. The study examined a descriptive project in which Class I-IV contractors involved in joint venture construction projects were selected to be among the potential respondents. Questionnaires and interviews were used for data collection, with a total of 40 questionnaires distributed, 25 of which were returned; survey of 8 respondents. The study showed that: Clear documentation, closing of joint ventures, training programmes, holding clear meetings, changing the general conditions of the joint venture (JV) and direct assessment of experience can be used in implementation: risk-fixing, reduction, prevention, insurance and common use as risk management strategies. In addition, poor communication, conflicts between members and poor cooperation have been identified as major challenges in implementing risk management strategies. The study suggests that; Effective communication between members, increased team cooperation and training programs can contribute to the successful implementation of risk management strategies. The study recommends it; Proponents should maintain effective communication, improve compatibility between them while ensuring that their joint enterprise agreement is clearly prepared, as it helps resolve disputes between them.
